Yes. Immigration assistance is provided by agents registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA), under MARN 2217810 and MARN 2418520. You can confirm any agent's current registration yourself on the public OMARA register at mara.gov.au before you engage them.
A registered migration agent is registered with OMARA and may lawfully give immigration assistance — advising on a visa, preparing it, and lodging it. A migration lawyer is additionally admitted to practise law, which lets them advise on matters beyond immigration and appear in court. Global Select are registered migration agents, not lawyers. For an ordinary visa application both are equally able to act for you; judicial review in the Federal Court is where a lawyer is required.
No. The Melbourne office at Suite 603, Level 6, 276 Flinders Street takes appointments in person, and we also act for clients elsewhere in Australia and in Nepal by phone, email and video appointment. Visa applications are lodged online with the Department of Home Affairs regardless of where you are.
Professional fees depend on the visa subclass and the complexity of the case, and are quoted before any work begins. They are separate from the Department of Home Affairs application charge, which is set by the government — you can estimate that charge yourself with our visa fee calculator.
