- Certified copy of trade certificate(s) — Cert III in Electrotechnology Lifts or international equivalent.
- Trade training transcripts.
- Detailed CV mapped to ANZSCO 341113 — OEM platforms (Otis, KONE, Schindler, TK Elevator etc.).
- Employment reference letters on letterhead with role, dates, hours/week, salary, lift / escalator duties.
- Identity — passport bio page.
- Payslips / tax records.
- OEM training records.
- Working at Heights, EWP, Confined Space training.
- WHS / White Card (post-arrival).
ANZSCO 341113 task focus
Reference letters must show at least 65% time on lift / escalator work:
- Passenger lift installation — traction (geared / gearless), hydraulic, MRL (machine-room-less).
- Goods lift installation.
- Platform lift / DDA-compliant lift installation.
- Residential lift installation.
- Escalator and travelator installation.
- Dumb waiter installation.
- Electrical wiring per AS / NZS 3000 + AS 1735.
- Controller installation and commissioning — Otis Sigma, KONE EcoDisc, Schindler PORT, TK Elevator AGILE.
- Modernisation — controller upgrades, drive upgrades (regenerative), fixture upgrades.
- Routine maintenance and AS 1735 inspection / service.
- Fault finding and emergency call-out service.
- Safety system testing — overspeed governor, safety gear, buffers.
Useful certifications
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Lifts (UEE32420) — Australian Cert III.
- State electrical licence + lift competency — typically electrical licence with lift work endorsement.
- OEM-specific training — Otis SIM / Sigma, KONE EcoDisc, Schindler PORT, TK Elevator AGILE.
- White Card (CPCCWHS1001) — mandatory.
- Working at Heights, EWP, Confined Space — essential.
