• Tunnels — alignment, lining, ventilation services, services coordination.
• Earthworks — cut/fill calculations, mass haul diagrams, batter design.
• Stormwater drainage — pipe networks, pits, OSD, GPTs, water-sensitive urban design (WSUD), bioretention.
• Sewer reticulation — gravity sewer, rising main, pump-station design support.
• Water reticulation — pressure mains, fire-flow design.
• Hydraulic / hydrology modelling integration — TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, MIKE.
• Subdivision design — lots, roads, services, easements per state subdivision controls.

VETASSESS doesn't directly require English. Home Affairs requires Competent English; for points-tested visas target Proficient or Superior.

Common pitfalls

• Architectural drafter cross-listing. If your work is overwhelmingly building / architectural, 312111 fits better.
• Engineer pretending to draft. If you have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and design work, 233211 Civil Engineer (Engineers Australia migration assessment) usually pays better.
• Diploma-only without sustained experience. AQF 5 / 6 alone may be borderline.
