English
VETASSESS doesn't directly require English. Home Affairs requires Competent English; regulatory / inspection roles dealing with statements typically need Proficient or higher.
Common pitfalls
- Trade-only experience. Carpentry / construction trade work without explicit inspection / compliance responsibility doesn't satisfy 312113.
- Diploma-only without sustained experience. AQF 5 / 6 may be borderline — combine with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Civil / structural engineering roles. If your work is structural design / engineering rather than building code compliance, 233211 Civil Engineer may fit better.
